         Revitalization Areas

Revitalization areas are HUD-designated neighborhoods in need of economic and community development and where there is already a strong commitment by the local governments. Revitalization Areas are the basis for HUD programs such as the Officer/Teacher Next Door Program, and the Direct Sales Program for Non-profit agencies and Municipalities.

There are hundreds of revitalization areas across the country. HUD is always working with localities to designate new areas.
